Safe Rigging and Slinging Assessment

This course is designed for construction site and industrial yard operators who utilize different types of cranes in building, civil engineering, and mechanical activities. The course enables employers to fulfill training obligations set by the Ministry of Labour, adhering to applicable International Standards (BS, OSHA, etc.), Regulations (LOLER, PUWER, etc.), and local legislation.

Primarily intended for Riggers, this course is also valuable for Supervisors devising simple rigging schemes and Tradesmen/Technicians encountering lifting and handling challenges during daily activities. It aims to address mechanical handling issues and equip participants with the skills to conduct safe rigging and slinging operations while understanding industry safety requirements.

Pre-requisites

Familiarity with crane operation and rigging activities is required for course attendees.

Course Venue

Courses are held at the RICI Training Center but can alternatively be conducted at a client’s premises and tailored to the client’s needs and convenience. For tailored courses, participant numbers will depend on the facilities available.

Delegate Assessment

Delegates will be assessed based on their progress throughout the course, and a certificate of competence will be issued to those who achieve a satisfactory standard.
