Introduction:
Heart saver First Aid AED provides a framework for learning basic skills that may save a life or prevent further injury. This is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches the participants critical skills needed to respond, manage and conduct first aid during injuries, emergency situations in the first few minutes until emergency services (EMS) arrives.
In this course, candidates will learn skills required to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock and other first aid emergency techniques. Also, they will be learn how to do Adult CPR using AED.
Course Content:
Theoretical content
- Basic Understanding of First Aid CPR AED
- Knowing responsibilities and liabilities
- Importance of victim and rescuer safety
- Knowing when to call for help
- To look for problems in the order of importance
- Privacy protection and making a report
Practical content
- Giving first aid in common medical emergencies
- Giving first aid in various emergency injuries
- Giving first aid in various environmental injuries
- Giving CPR to adults, children, and infants
- Practice using an AED

03 Assessment Criteria
Candidates should know how to conduct CPR and helping a person who is choking. They should also know how to properly use an AED machine.
