RICI inspectors perform Vendor Inspection activities of equipment and materials at manufacturer’s shops to verify that the product quality conforms to the specified requirements of the client purchase order, relevant specifications, codes, and standards. RICI inspectors are highly qualified technical experts carefully chosen from large pool of worldwide inspectors.

RICI is performing vendor inspection activities for the following industries:

1.1 Mechanical Vendor Inspection

In Mechanical vendor inspection our key areas of expertise include the inspection of material, machinery and manufactured items, for example vessels, rotating equipment, valves, fittings, piping and other components. The purpose of the mechanical inspection is to visually inspect and operate the built-in mechanical equipment observed on site and provide an opinion of any deficiencies apparent at the time of the inspection.

The scope of this inspection includes visual observations of the readily accessible mechanical equipment and appliances without disassembly of any unit inspected and without removing items causing visual obstruction. The functional equipment is generally operated in at least one mode, but not necessarily every mode, suited to demonstrate its condition.

1.2 Electrical and Instrumentation Vendor Inspection

Electrical and Instrumentation Vendor Inspection Our QA/QC engineers and inspectors have been employed in the Oil & Gas, Petro-chemical and maritime industry in Electrical and Instrumentation, engineering, implementation, inspection coordination, QA/QC and general E&I activities both on and offshore.

Electrical inspection work includes Power Control and Earthing Cables Installation, LV/MV Switchgear Installation, Transformer Installation, Power Distribution Boards Installation, UPS Panel and Battery Installation, Earthing System Installation, Lighting System Installation, Motors Solo Run & Installation check and CP System Installation etc.

We ensure that your design philosophy is preserved, in accordance with technical engineering requirements, Company and Project quality agreements/requirements and Legal Rules and Regulations. Our E&I QC team, is also able to verify if your contract specifications, International codes and regulatory compliance requirements, Project Quality Plan and Quality Strategy related to the scope of work, are met. All these requirements will be demonstrated by conducting scheduled Inspections and surveys, at the

Client/Contractor main facilities, construction yard, vendor/supplier premises and its Sub-contractors.

1.3 Painting/Coating Vendor Inspection

RICI provides painting/coating inspection services to clients who intend to vet their coating contractor. RICI ensures that our clients feel reassured that our client’s job is being prepared and coated in line with the requirements of your project coating specification and without compromise.

RICI has experienced coatings inspector to be in attendance at the contractor’s facility at all stages of the project, through to completion or at an agreed frequency to suit our client’s needs, ensuring that the work is being carried out, meets the requirements of your specification, remains on track, and in line with the agreed completion and delivery dates.

At RICI, we strongly advocate the use of photographic evidence to form a major part of our reporting ethos whilst acting on our client’s behalf.

During the execution phase of the project, our coatings inspector will carry out routine surveillance at the contractor’s facility, whilst keeping our client informed of progress via email and phone calls. Our coating inspector have formal coating training and certification to determine surface profile readings, calibrate dry film thickness (DFT) gauges, use DFT gauges, use wet film thickness gauges, discern the difference between degrees of abrasive blasting, and be familiar with standards such as SSPC-VIS 1,1 VIS 2,2 and PA 2.3. Lifting inspections are carried out to verify that the lifting equipment and accessories remain safe to use, and to find any defects or deterioration in good time, to avoid any accidents due to any possible failure of the equipment. These inspections are required to be carried out at specified intervals throughout the lifetime of any equipment by a competent person with the requisite practical and theoretical knowledge of the equipment being examined.
