The QC Engineer is responsible for ensuring the technical accuracy, reliability, quality, and compliance of civil material testing activities within the laboratory.
The position is responsible for implementing and maintaining quality control requirements in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025, applicable ASTM, AASHTO, BS, EN, SASO and project-specific standards.
The QC Engineer ensures that testing personnel, equipment, methods, records, test results, and laboratory processes comply with established technical and quality requirements.
Main Responsibilities:
· Implement and maintain laboratory quality procedures in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.
· Ensure laboratory activities are performed under controlled and approved procedures.
· Monitor compliance with laboratory SOPs, work instructions, test methods and quality procedures.
· Ensure personnel performing testing are appropriately trained, qualified and authorized.
· Maintain records demonstrating personnel competence and authorization.
· Participate in internal audits and support external accreditation assessments.
· Identify nonconformities and ensure appropriate corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
· Monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions.
· Control quality records, technical records and laboratory documentation.
· Ensure proper document and record control.
· Participate in management review activities and provide relevant QC performance information.
· Support continual improvement of laboratory processes.
