Introduction:

This course is designed for construction site and industrial sites operatives who work in the construction, mechanical & Oil & Gas sectors. This Course will be useful for employers as it enables them to fulfill training obligations set by the Ministry of Labour. The course has been produced to the applicable International Standard OSHA Standard (29 CFR 1910.146).

This training course covers the control of, and entry into, confined spaces, for personnel required to enter a confined space in the workplace. By completing this course, it is expected that the attendees will have the necessary knowledge to enable repeated safe exposure to such work activities fully understanding working in confined spaces. Upon successful completion, candidates will be able to: –

  • Assess a confined space for entry
  • Safely use equipment and personal protective equipment
  • Work in accordance with confined space requirements
  • Conclude confined space operations in accordance with procedures

Pre-requisites:

Familiarity with confined space entry & awareness of hazards regarding construction & industrial activities involving confined space work is required for course attendees.

Course Venue:

Courses are held at the RICI Training center but alternatively can be held at a client’s premises and tailored to the client’s needs and convenience. For tailored courses, the numbers will be dependent on facilities available.

Delegate Assessment:

Delegates will be assessed based on their progress throughout the course and a certificate of competence will be issued to delegates deemed to have achieved a satisfactory standard.
