ISO 45001:2018 Awareness Course

Course Description

ISO 45001 is the first global Occupational Health and Safety Management System standard that replaces OHSAS 18001. The ISO 45001 Foundation training enables you to learn the basic elements to implement and manage an Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OH&S MS) as specified in ISO 45001. During this training course, you will be able to understand the different modules of an OH&S MS, including the OH&S MS policy, procedures, performance measurements, management commitment, internal audit, management review, and continual improvement.

This 1-day course explains the benefits of the ISO 45001 OH&S MS standard and introduces the principles that should be in place in order to form an effective and standards-compliant quality management system. At the end of the course, you will take our ISO 45001 Foundation exam to certify your knowledge. A RICI Foundation Certificate shows that you have understood the fundamental methodologies, requirements, framework and management approach.

Objective

This course aims to provide delegates, who have an existing basic knowledge of occupational health and safety management, with an understanding of the management systems approach and the requirements of the new standard ISO 45001. It, additionally, provides a basis for delegates who wish to go on to complete RICI Certified OHSMS Auditor Training courses.
